The complexity, enormity and importance of the role sustainability mangers play in an organisation is often and totally underestimated, misunderstood and marginalised by the rest of the organisation. GCX CEO Kevin James has often sympathised saying that there should be a support group and a forum to help sustainability professionals overcome the challenges shared by so many in this field.
Thanks to Elize Hattingh, Founder of Green Talent, such a forum now exits and she is hosting the Green Collar Workers Forum event on the 29th August in Cape Town at The Vineyard Hotel. The event will take place in a World Café style where participants can contribute to discussions and learn from each other and help devise solutions to their shared challenges.
You will also get the opportunity to hear from four sustainability professionals from totally different fields, with different backgrounds and educations that may inspire you and expand your understanding of the reach of your role.
Green Talent will also be launching the Green Flow Pod support groups at August’s event.
