Kevin James
Chief Executive Officer
Kevin is the Founder and Chief Executive of Global Carbon Exchange. He is also a director of the Carbon Protocol of SA, a section 21 company that provides a regulated framework for carbon accounting, neutrality and disclosure in SA and head of the adjudication panel for the Annual SA Climate Change Leadership Awards. He is a versatile speaker and expert on corporate sustainability issues and works with many of the largest corporations to derive tangible business value by integrating environmental sustainability strategies into their operations. Kevin has a B Comm from UCT.

Ed Gluckman Managing Director
Ed comes to the company with a wealth of experience in strategy
roles within the IT industry. Having been on the forefront of the
networking industry for more than 8 years Ed is accustomed to new
market entry and what is required to be successful in an early stage
venture.
Ed’s responsibilities include the global strategy, alliances, structure
and scalability of GCX. Ed is a passionate environmentalist and
traveler who has spent a great deal of time within the rainforests of
the world and has first hand experience of the current scale and
intensity of rainforest destruction. Ed holds a Law Degree from the
University of Stellenbosch, South Africa

Paris Arey
President - USA
Paris is the President of GCX’s USA subsidiary. His
responsibilities encompass all aspects of GCX’s business development
and management for the USA. Mr. Arey brings over 25 years of experience
in leading sales and marketing teams in both early stage start-up
companies and Fortune 500 corporations. Prior to joining GCX, Mr. Arey
served the Vice President of International Operations for Adtran Inc.,
a global leader in the carrier access market. Mr. Arey also held
executive positions with Cisco Systems, the leader in the networking
market. Over his 10 year tenure with Cisco Systems, Mr. Arey built and
managed several multi-billion dollar businesses in the USA, EMEA and
worldwide. Prior to that, he held various IT management positions with
other industry leading companies such as Tandem Computers, Digital
Electronics Corporation and Burroughs Corporation.
Today Mr. Arey sits on the boards of DBAM Systems, a UK start up in
the growth market of WAN Optimization and Application Acceleration, and
the Clara Fund, a philanthropic organization focused on improving
living standards for women in developing nations.
Mr. Arey holds a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Southern California.

Jeunesse Park
Public Relations Director
Jeunesse has been the CEO, fundraiser and publicist, and is the
founder, of the hugely successful public benefit organization Food
& Trees for Africa, started in 1990. She was one of the first in
South Africa to recognize the threats of climate change, lobby for
action and implement carbon sinks. FTFA has distributed over 3. 2
million trees and helped to set up over 2 500 organic food gardens for
the poorest in South Africa. Jeunesse launched the Carbon Standard in
South Africa and has advised many government departments and
corporations on environmental and climate change education,
communications and marketing. In 1999, Jeunesse was acknowledged for
her efforts in environmental conservation when she won the Mail and
Guardian Green Trust Award for Established Environmentalists of South
Africa. She has since won the Mail and Guardian Chairman’s Award for
Excellence, the Eskom Chairman’s Award, the international Chevron
Conservation Award, the Nelson Mandela Forestry Award, is a co-winner
in the 2007 UNEP Sasakawa Climate Change Award and has recently won a
USA Arbor Day Foundation Award.

Jacques Loftus General Manager – Namibia
Jacques has a 15-year career in sales and marketing in the medical
joint replacement industry. He has established several highly
successful medical companies in Namibia over the last 6 years and lives
permanently in Namibia. He has consistently delivered growth of his
territory throughout his sales career. Jacques is a passionate
environmentalist who gets a great deal of his energy from the ocean and
is thus very aware of the balance that Climate Change threatens to
impact. He joined GCX in 2008 in the hope of dedicating his business
skills to preventing rapid climate change.

Ohad Shachar
Sustainability Manager
Ohad heads up GCX's team of sustainable business analysts
and he is responsible for the delivery of GCX's climate change response
programme to clients.
Ohad has a background in biochemistry and has substantial experience in
energy and GHG auditing. He was the lead data analyst for the South
African Cities State of Energy Report where he collected and analysed
energy data for 15 South African local authorities. He spent a
considerable amount of time in Edinburgh where he provided strategic
support to local authorities, housing associations and SMEs in
sustainable and efficient energy policy. He conducted carbon and
ecological footprints for SMEs and housing associations, and developed
and managed community energy projects in the area.
